Book(s) I am reading now:

Technically, I'm not reading anythign right now, because I had cataract surgery last week and I am still recovering (and having problems seeing to read). However, the next item on my stack (just bought) is: Jesus of Nazareth by Joseph Ratzinger (Benedict XVI)

Book(s) I have read recently:

Called to Communion by Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger.

The Story of a Soul by St. Therese of Lisieux

Thud by Terry Pratchett

Book(s) that mean a lot to me:

The Catechism of the Catholic Church

The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis

The Lord of the Rings by J. R. R. Tolkien

The Courage to be Catholic by George Weigel

Catholic Matters: Confusion, Controversy, And the Splendor of Truth by Richard John Neuhaus

You know, I nearly put down The Case for Christ, too. It was one of the first apologetics books I ever read. Later, I discovered Catholic Answers online when a particularly insistant Jehovah's Witness kept coming back. When I offered the book (Strobel's) and some Catholic Answers material to her one time, she said she was "not allowed" to read anything I gave her like that. It was the last time I saw her.

I wonder what ever became of her.

lol @ "upstairs" book being the serious one. Anything by my bed does not have much chance of being read quickly or at all: after a paragraph I am ready to turn off the light and nod off!

You have made lots of interesting points here: I will be back later.
