The Bible is a history book full of information that you can take as seriously as your history book in high school. Read it and believe it! Then find a great Catholic church and learn more. Guess what? He did it profoundly and magnificently right away. I have been a believer ever since. So when posed with that question (many times, I might add) I simply tell the person that if their interest is real and true, then "just ask God Himself".
